Safety Advisor Rio Tinto Kennecott Copper, SLC, UT April 2012 to December 2015 

Ensured contractors where in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations that met OSHA and MSHA standards. Conducted administrative and field audit inspections and assessments. Assisted with development and implementation of HSE training programs and critical tracking controls. Responsible to Interpreted HSE standards in the field and provided clarifications as needed to contactors. Assisted with the implementation of Rio Tinto HSE standard and supported the reporting and investigation of injury or incidents onsite. 

 

Safety Manager Wollam Construction October 2011 to April 2012 

Implemented HSE standards and communicated effectively with supervisors and peers. Managed the reporting and investigation of injuries and incidents, maintained good employee relations and was a team leader. Trained employees on fall protection, lock out tag out, confined space and OSHA 10/30.
